Mission Development
Curriculum development should always begin with a mission statement developed through consultation with the faculty, staff, students, and administration balancing stakeholders’ values against accreditation requirements. As a WPA, I’ve led a team through mission development using Dynamic Criteria Mapping.

Outcome Development
Outcomes should follow directly from the program's mission statement and stated goals of the program. The outcomes should be focused, measurable, realistic, clear, and relevant. They should also be communicated widely and regularly to students, staff, and faculty. They should also align directly with the assessment plan. Using the missing statement created via Dynamic Criteria Mapping, I’ve led a team through SLO generation.

Assessment Plan Creation
Any assessment plan should use multiple measures to assess the program’s outcomes. Both qualitative and quantitative data are necessary for this process. The process should also be ongoing and responsive to program and institutional changes to allow for the most thorough and relevant assessment. The assessment plan should also be clearly communicated to all stakeholders. As WPA, I have developed, deployed, and reviewed assessments for years, alone and in concert with colleagues.
