Scholarship
A university or college needs a thriving group of scholars who value free inquiry, continued education, and collegiality. Colloquia, speaker series, and faculty presentations of research are all vital to creating a scholarly environment. As Writing Center Director at EWU, I developed a scholarly discussion series hosted by the Writing Center.

Technology
As new technologies, such as AI writing, continue to emerge, faculty, staff, and administration will have to review the affordances and limitations of those technologies. Many of them impact the way students learn in and out of the classroom. If they can be leveraged to improve student outcomes, they should be. As a faculty trainer for the LMS and program director, I have trained faculty, staff, and students on the use of technology on campus.

Events
In addition to scholarly gatherings, faculty, staff, and administration often take part in events to promote the institution. As a faculty leadership team member for the HBCU2 program at the EWU campus, Orientation Office Management at URI, and Student Engagement Ambassador Coordinator at UConn, I have assisted in planning many higher education events.
